I get people unstuck so they can live their life authentically, powerfully, and unapologetically. What could one hour with a life coach do for you? Let’s find out.

Day 49: In it right now

Stop worrying about the stuff you didn’t get done today. You did what you did, you didn’t do what you didn’t do, and all you’re gonna do by stressing about it is ruin the rest of the night. There will always be more shit to get done. There will never be this moment again. Let yourself be IN IT RIGHT NOW instead of in the past or in the future. Let yourself rest and recharge instead of proving yourself yet again by doing-doing-doing-doing-more-more-more-more. There’s nothing to prove, because you’re enough. You always were enough. You’ll always be enough. And if you ever need a reminder of that, hit me up. One of my favorite things to do as a coach is to help my clients get off the hamster wheel and enjoy their life. One of my favorite things to do as a friend is remind you that you are loved and you are amazing. Now, go enjoy your night. You deserve it.

Day 48: Fresh air

Well, I for sure didn’t have “supplemental oxygen” on my 2020 bingo card, but here we are. Once I go through a bunch more testing we’ll know what the long-term plan is, but for now I get to sleep with a fancy white noise machine that costs more than my children and hopefully will help me feel less like death all day every day, which will be a nice change from the last several months. The current theory is some kind of keep apnea, which explains virtually all of my complaints and concerns—a list nearly as long as the tubing on this sucker.

We seldom get to choose what life throws at us. We always get to choose how we respond to it. I’m choosing to find this encouraging and entertaining. I’m choosing NOT to rage against the machine [that is giving me oxygen] but to embrace it. I’m choosing to be grateful for my seriously amazing healthcare team. I’m choosing to feel proud for listening to my body and my gut instincts and being an awesome self-advocate. And I’m choosing to keep choosing that—because whether I respond this way or not, it’s still happening. I pick the life where I get joy and relief and empowerment even when shit goes sideways. Because I’m committed that I get a great life and my family gets a great life and YOU get a great life. I’m not attached to what that great life looks like, which is awesome, because there are so many ways to have a great life and I don’t want to miss this one.

Think of it as a breath of fresh air when you feel stuck and suffocated.

Day 47: Stop being an asshole to yourself

Okay, but seriously. All those mean tapes you’ve been playing on a loop in your head? Cut that shit out. Stop being an asshole to yourself.

💯

You DO know what you’re doing.

🍀

They are LUCKY to have you, not stuck with you.

❤️

Actually, we DO really know you and we still love you.

🏆

 You ARE good enough.

🎯

You TOTALLY made the right call.

🙅🏻‍♀️

No, NO ONE is still thinking about that, so you can let it go.

🥈

Everyone deserves a second chance, even you.

YOU are wonderful and you are doing the best you can and it. is. enough. And, if you want something different, that’s okay! But go after it because you really want it—not because you feel like you have to do it so you can measure up. Because you are a gift to the world, and you deserve to be treated that way. ESPECIALLY by yourself.
