Day 1: You get to live your life anyway

Here’s the truth: I’m scared all the time. I’m so mad some days I don’t know how to function. I’ve cried so many tears it feels like they’ve run out. It’s been like this for months.

But here’s what’s also true. I’m allowed to live my fucking life while I’m terrified and angry as fuck. So are you.

Living our lives is the most powerful act of resistance we’ve got. It’s what allows us to keep going, to fight the good fight, even on days when it feels impossible and we feel alone. It’s how we retain our humanity. It’s how we connect with others. It’s how we create and keep a sense of purpose when everything feels too big. It’s how we empower ourselves. It’s how we find joy again when the world’s gone gray.

You’re allowed to be afraid without having to live in fear.
You’re allowed to be angry without having to be run by your anger.
You’re allowed to be sad, frustrated, horrified, without having to sacrifice all other emotions.

And if you’re not sure how, I can help. I get people unstuck so they can live their life authentically, powerfully, and unapologetically. I’m on a mission to support 100 people in the next 100 days through powerful professional conversations focused on clarity and transformation.

If you’re ready to shift gears—get clear, get into action, get rid of guilt and shame—book a session with me.

If you know someone who’s ready to shift gears, gift them a session with me.

100 people.
100 days.
This is how I live my fucking life.
This is my act of resistance.
Let’s go.

Imperfect action changes everything

You will never be a perfect ally.
You will never be a perfect partner.
You will never be a perfect parent.
You will never be a perfect friend, neighbor, or business owner.

Neither will I.

That doesn’t mean you should stop everything because perfection isn’t possible, because you might say or do the wrong thing, because you might be wrong, because you might not understand.

It’s not about being perfect.
It’s about showing up.
It’s about trying.
It’s about failing.
It’s about learning.
It’s about trying again.

Perfection isn’t the reward.
The reward is the journey.

The world NEEDS you to show up, even imperfectly. ESPECIALLY imperfectly. Because that’s all of us.

So what would it take for you to get out of your own way? What would it take for you to let go of perfection and get into action?

Book your free coaching conversation and let’s find out together: http://tinyurl.com/altitudeadjustmentintro

Let’s say goodbye to “too busy”

I’m too busy.
I don’t have time.
It’s not the right time.
Maybe tomorrow.
Maybe next week.
Maybe next month.
The next time this happens.

We all have our reasons for not acting now. “I’m too busy” is a huge one. It gives us a reason for
…Putting off the book we want to write.
…Setting aside the business we want to start.
…Delaying the career change we’re craving.
…Continuing effed-up relationships we know don’t serve us.
…Staying silent and small in the face of systemic racism.

When “I’m too busy” shows up for you, it shows up everywhere. But what if it didn’t have to? What if you could stop being so “reason”able and actually do the things you want to do? What if you could get so UNreasonable that you could get into action on the stuff that really matters in your life and in the world? How would that change things for you? How would that change things for your community?

The world doesn’t need you busy.
The world doesn’t need you reasonable.
The world needs you focused and ready.
The world needs you in action.

The first step to getting un-busy and un-reasonable is to take a closer look. If you want some help with that, apply here to start your transformation journey.
