Coaching

Day 43: Let off some steam

Sometimes it just feels like boiling over all day. It’s not because you’re weak. It’s not because you don’t have your shit together. It’s not because there’s something wrong with you. It just happens, because you’re human and humans have a hard time sometimes. There’s no shame in asking for support. It’s just a real shame if you suffer alone when you don’t have to.

I’m on a mission to serve 100 people in 100 days through powerful coaching. I want you to be one of those people. I want your best friend who’s struggling to be one of those people. I want that coworker who’s going through some shit right now to be one of those people. We’re in this together. So stop going it alone. No bullshit. No toxic positivity. Just you getting to let off some steam.

Day 42: New eyes

Today I hit 50 rides on my Peloton bike. It might not seem like a big deal, but it sure was to me. It’s been a rough few months. Today was particularly difficult. I had a million reasons to bail on this milestone ride. And I am so fucking proud of myself for doing it anyway.

Being a coach and having a coach don’t mean I don’t have bad days. They just mean I have different ways of dealing with them than I’ve ever had before. Ways that don’t set me back. Ways that I don’t feel guilty about. Ways that don’t fill me with shame. Ways that allow me to show compassion for myself and others. It’s a whole new ballgame, one that still allows me to have moments of pure joy amid the worst (and longest) bout of depression I’ve had in recent memory. It’s not easy, but goddamn, I’ll choose it every time compared to what it was like before.

I have no idea what coaching will do in your life—that’s up to you—but I’m here to help you find out. If you’re tired of how it’s been and ready to try something new, let’s chat. (I promise I won’t make you exercise if you don’t want to). And I also promise I’ll help you see things you never saw before and see things you’ve already seen with totally new eyes.

Day 41: On your terms

The best part of my day today was taking a walking meeting by phone with my personal assistant/bestie in tow. (Her favorite part was lying down repeatedly mid-walk.) I’ve made a promise to myself to take a walk in some way every day, even if it’s just around the block, because my life is better when I do. What small promise to yourself would make your life better? Does it feel too small to matter? Too big to pull off? We can figure that out—and I think we should. Because you get to have the life you want, on your terms, even if you’re not sure how. Book a clarity call with me and we’ll get it started, one promise at a time. Day 40: Accessing the answers

What if you already have all the answers you’re looking for? What if the only thing you need is a way to access them?

That’s what I do as a coach: I help people uncover and trust their inner wisdom so they can find their own answers. Because you’re the expert on your life, not me. But I AM an expert on teaching you how to embrace your own expertise. Wanna try it out? Contact me and let’s get you set up with a clarity call.

Day 39: What I know about you

I know school starting back up is super stressful. I know you’re endlessly asking yourself if you made the right choice, no matter what choice it was. I know you’re trying to figure out how the hell you’re going to navigate all of this. It’s okay to be freaked out. Truly. That you’re freaking out doesn’t mean you’re doing anything wrong. It’s a normal reaction to this abnormal situation we’ve been dealing with for months. And you will come out the other side of this, because here’s what I also know:

🧠

You are smart. You figure out complicated shit all. the. time. and this will be no different. You got this.

👨🏾‍👧🏾‍👦🏾

You are a great parent. I can tell, because you lose sleep over making sure you’re making the best decisions for your kids and you do everything you can to keep them safe every day, just like you have for their whole life.

🏆

You are doing the best you can. You don’t need to compare the best YOU can with the best SOMEONE ELSE can. It’s not relevant. Your best is enough.

⏳

It won’t feel like this forever. Change is hard. Constant change is REALLY hard. And starting something new amid constant change—or doing the same thing you did before but in a radically changed environment—is gonna feel rough. But it won’t feel rough forever. Just for a little while.

If you need support getting out of your head so you can get into action and keep moving forward, let’s talk. Contact me to book a clarity call, and we’ll look at how powerful coaching can help you get your mind and your life where you want them to be.

Day 38: YOUR way

Stop comparing yourself to other people. Admire them, learn from them, but don’t make yourself wrong for not BEING them. You don’t have to try to blend in or disappear. You’re you. You get to do this life thing YOUR WAY and YOUR WAY is exactly right for you. Don’t believe me? I’ll prove it. Contact me to book your private clarity call and I’ll show you exactly what I mean.
