Coaching

Day 38: Patterns

Just because the dog barks doesn’t mean a murderer is breaking in. Sometimes dogs just bark.

Just like sometimes kids just cry.
Just like sometimes partners are just grumpy.
Just like sometimes coworkers are just irritable.
Just like sometimes your brain just gets carried away down some path that’s not helpful.

None of these things actually have to mean anything is wrong, so more often than not, no action required. But so often we panic, we try to fix, we get bark-y, cry-y, annoyed, and carried away too, because we’re uncomfortable and we feel like we need to do something to Stop The Thing That Is Wrong.

It’s okay to just let the thing happen and not try to fix it. Because a lot of the time, there’s nothing to fix. There’s just something to get through and it’s okay. And if there IS something to fix, when your brain is freaking out probably isn’t the best time to tackle it.

Instead let’s tackle it when your brain is calm so you’re ready for next time. A huge part of what I do as a coach is help people figure out the patterns that aren’t working in their life and create new ones. Patterns like fixing when nothing needs fixing. Patterns like getting super agitate when there’s nothing to fix. Patterns like looking for what’s wrong all the time. You name a pattern you don’t love, we can find one that works better and help you set it up in your life.

If that sounds good to you, we should talk. I get people unstuck—and out of patterns they hate—so they can live their life authentically, powerfully, and unapologetically. And you deserve that. So let’s make it happen. Contact me to book your clarity call.

Day 36: Access control

Just because the doorbell rings doesn’t mean you have to answer the door. Just because a thought crosses your mind doesn’t mean you have to entertain it. You get to decide who you let in and what thoughts you keep around.

Not sure how to set up “access control” for your mind? I can help. Contact me to set up a clarity call.

Day 35: Let’s do this shit

Have you ever house-trained a puppy? It’s messy, frustrating work. You show them over and over what to do, and you’ll still be mopping up pee and cleaning up shit in the house for weeks, maybe even months. It’s one of those things that just takes a little time.

Training your brain is a lot like that. No matter how many times you tell it where to go, it’s gonna make a mess until it learns what to do and figures out to do it every. single. time. And just like with house-training your puppy, you have two choices when it comes to training your brain:

1️⃣

You can hang in there, be consistent, and show it what to do over and over again so the training is done in a few weeks or a few months and you never have to do this again, or

2️⃣

You can just decide to let it do whatever and spend the rest of its life cleaning up its shit every day.

And just like with house-training your dog, when it comes to training your brain on new habits there are techniques to make it go faster. That’s where I come in as a coach. I get my clients unstuck so they can live life the way they want, free from all the shit their brain keeps leaving in the way. If you’re ready to do the work, I’m ready to support you. Contact me to get your clarity call on the calendar. Let’s do this shit.

Day 34: Stop hiding

If you’re worried that people won’t like you if you show up as who you actually are, those aren’t your people. YOUR people love you, admire you, and want you in their life because you’re YOU.

I’m on a mission to serve 100 people in 100 days through powerful coaching conversations. If you’re ready to stop hiding and start living your authentic life, contact me and let’s get you conversation on the calendar.

Day 33: Hitting fast forward

I love my coach so much. Her name is Melanie and she kicks so much ass. She holds space for me to be who I know I am—even when I doubt myself, even when I forget, even when my brain is completely melting down and I’m like WHAT THE FUCK AM I EVEN DOING. She reminds me where it lives inside of me that I am always enough. She reminds me where it lives inside of me that 2021 Kristen already has this shit figured out and (spoiler alert) I’m 2021 Kristen already, just a few months earlier. She reminds me of where it lives inside of me that I have a purpose in the world that matters and the easiest thing in the world is to just be who I really am. It’s fucking awesome.

And here’s the thing: I don’t NEED a coach. No one REALLY does. But I WANT one because it’s like hitting fast-forward on all my goals, all my growth, all my relationships. And it’s a HELL of a lot more fun with a coach than it is on my own.

If your life is not 100% where you want it to be, that doesn’t mean anything is wrong. You’re on the right track, I promise. But if you want to get it there faster, get yourself a coach. You’re gonna blow your own mind with what you can create.

Here’s the other thing: I want you to get yourself a coach. A great coach. A coach you ADORE. I don’t care if it’s me or not. Who I am is that you get the great life that you want and deserve. If you think I can help with that, hit me up. If you’re looking for something else, ASK. I know a lot of amazing coaches and I love to make referrals.

So contact me and let’s put this shit on fast forward. You got this .

Day 32: Finding your own magic

What if I told you you don’t have to wait for motivation to fall out of the sky when the stars are perfectly aligned? What if you could summon it any time you want?

It might sound like magic (Accio motivation!), but it’s very, very real. You can create motivation for yourself—real, lasting motivation, not a frenetic positivity frenzy that leaves you feeling vaguely hungover and decidedly disappointed when it wears off.

If you’re clear on what you want to create, I can help you create it—not by motivating you, but by teaching you to motivate yourself and create your own sustained momentum. Because that’s what I do: I help people get unstuck so they can do the things they want to do in life and in business. And I can help you do it too.

I’m on a mission to serve 100 people in 100 days through powerful coaching conversations. If you’re ready to DO the damn thing let’s talk. Apply here: http://tinyurl.com/altitudeadjustmentintro

No bullshit. No toxic positivity. Just finding your own magic.
